Failure to Deliver on Expectations



The is the main lobby in the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, part of a major renovation by Daniel Libeskind. While the exterior is a powerful example of historic/modern contrast with bold forms and striking geometry, the interior is a letdown. It fails to deliver on the expectations set up by the exterior, it feels like they may have run out of budget.

One of the great things about Dubai is that so much is going on you are often surprised by hidden gems. This is "Pantry Cafe" at Bay Square, a sophisticated restaurant that serves great contemporary food at great prices in an urban chic environment.


Value Add Coffee Selection - Effective Communications


I saw this in a cafe menu and thought it was a great example of simple graphic communications that explains a common consumer decision in a very clear and effective manner, true value add. The challenge is that the selection is even greater and now I have to remember what is in a "con panna".



Melinda Lobo

Melinda is a young architecture graduate with strong skills in conceptual and creative design.  She has over 6 years experience working with projects in sectors such as retail, healthcare, hospitality and mixed-use residential.    

Melinda is very knowledgable and disciplined in architectural design.  She was a faculty member with Nitte University (India)  teaching architecture, design and building construction. She was also a member of their Board of Studies.

Chris Integlia

Chris has over 10 years of experience at a senior management level in architecture design and project management in the luxury retail, F&B and hospitality industries. He is a strong conceptual thinker having  worked on a number of successful retail design projects in the UK, Italy and in the recent years in the UAE, with notable F&B and luxury fashion brands such as Wagamama, Palzileri, LiuJo and Valentino.

For the past 5+ years Chris has worked in the region and has been able to adapt his design knowledge, project management skills and creativity to suit various projects and clients.
